Delegate's Lounge UN Postcard lamp

Architectural mid century delight!  Delegate's Lounge, United Nations Headquarters circa 1952... Vintage postcard artwork.

This medium table lamp is 5 inches wide and approximately 13 inches tall.

The shade is printed using a wax printing process which adds a dimension to the original linen style of postcards from that time. 

We make the lampshade with a paper print that we mount to lampcrafter's styrene, and trim it with grosgrain ribbon. The shade attaches to our maple wood base at the socket. Has an 8 foot cord with switch, and the base is weighted underneath. 40 watt maximum if using incandescent bulb, or higher is fine if using a cool burning LED bulb.  All handmade by me here in my little cutest lamp studio in the Hudson Valley, NY!
